Brownfield24 Award: Double Award for the Technologiepark in Hanau!

Germany often manifests concerns about the lack of space when developing industrial projects. But in truth, there is plenty. It just needs to be repurposed. Policy and research should have brownfields on their radar and make them the preferred solution. And precisely to celebrate these types of investments and brownfield redevelopments, the Brownfield24 Award was born.

Once again, an interdisciplinary panel of experts came together to evaluate numerous projects and award prizes to the winners at a ceremony on September 8, 2021.
NDC-GARBE won second place in the “Best Industrial and Commercial Project” category for the development of the brownfield site in Hanau, along with GARBE Industrial Real Estate and Bremer. The “Technologiepark” in Hanau now hosts GARBE’s logistics site with rooftop solar panels and our data center for Google Cloud. In addition, this project was awarded the “Special Prize for Sustainability” by the German Brownfield Association (DEBV). We are extremely happy and proud of these awards!
